About Andy
Andy Miller is a landscape designer who has been designing gardens and commercial landscapes for more than 30 years since graduating with a degree and postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture in 1993. He has specialised in creating distinctive outdoor spaces across North West UK.
Now based in North Yorkshire, he combines strong design principles with a deep understanding of horticulture to create gardens that are beautiful, practical and enduring.
Working with private clients, rural properties and commercial landscapes, Andy's approach focuses on authenticity, sustainability and carefully considered planting.
Each garden is designed to reflect the character of the site and the people who will enjoy it.
Services
One off Design Consultation
Includes up to 3 hours of design advice on planting and materials, soil testing, sketch designs and basic layout planning. Discussion of brief , style budget and timescales followed by written summary with next steps. This cost is deductible if you decide to proceed with a concept or detailed master plan package.
Cost: £250
Additional services
Planting Plans
Detailed plant layout to scale of every plant specified shown at its expected size after a given period of time. ( eg 3 years or 5 years). Details of any soil preparation required and staking and specific treatment.
Cost range: £500 to £1,500
Concept Design
This is a set of up to three separate design ideas for your garden which are drawn to scale and show design layout, materials, feature plants and descriptions of general planting concepts. Soil analysis completed and material pallet provided. suitable for clients seeking layout ideas to implement themselves.
Cost range: £1,000 to £3,000 depending on size and complexity of project
Project Management
Liaison with contractors and regular site visits to ensure construction proceeds as planned and at cost. Includes any necessary redesign or snagging as project proceeds.
Cost: 5% to 10% of build costs depending on frequency and complexity of project
Landscape Masterplan
Detailed masterplan of garden to scale showing the design in detail including all measurements and specification of all hard landscaping materials and levels. It also includes perspective drawings of features and specific details. A planting plan is also included which details every plant specified and its size after a specified period of time, eg - 3 years
Cost range: £2,500 to £5,000+ depending on size and complexity of project
